LOGLINE: A spiritually conflicted Hopi boy joins forces with a mysterious stranger to defeat an emerging race of entombed giant warrior specters from realizing the Hopi apocalypse.
Orphaned Jayden, raised by his ailing grandmother at Orabai Mesa, Hopi Nation, is steeped in tribal creation relgion, but is educated as a Baptist, then attends Catholic High School. A prodigy, he is ready to reject a scholarship to enter the priesthood, until granted his wish to also pursue a degree in Anasazi-Pueblo Anthropology.
While immersed in native American studies, he discovers the hidden "Marquardt Protocol", a mysterious diary and related relics, from a century old expedition of the Grand Canyon.
The diary recounts disasters and horrors befalling the explorers, including the discovery of a necropolis of ancient giant warriors entombed in sheer canyon cliffs towering above the Colorado River.
Despite encounters and warnings to Jayden by Hopi demons not to return to his home land, he accepts a teaching position in Flagstaff, Arizona. En route, he meets a peculiar young white man -- Conor -- whom he instinctually mistrusts, but cannot escape.
Evil omens signaling Hopi religious warnings of the oncoming "end of days" beset his ancestral land. Conor sounds the alarm for battle, descending with Jayden into "Whispering Sipapu", entrance to the Hopi underworld. Their journey thrusts them into the past as members of the ill-fated Marquardt expedition. There, they survive physical privations and unravel the mystery of returning the resurrected evil specters to their stony graves, winning the battle of Armageddon.
